A Florida beach resort means very different things on each coast. The Atlantic side around Miami Beach has stronger surf, high-rise towers and a lively scene, while the Gulf beaches of Naples and Marco Island are calmer, shallower and known for sunsets. Key West has fewer natural beaches, so its resorts often make up for it with private lagoons, pool decks and water sports. Every resort below is tagged as a beach resort or lists beach access in its amenities.
