How We Build Our Listings
This page explains where the information on Florida Resort Finder comes from, how we decide what counts as a resort, and how the site is funded.
What we include
We list properties that market themselves as resorts or offer resort-style facilities — for example a substantial pool area, spa, golf course, beach access, water park, marina or organised activities. That includes hotel resorts, villa and vacation-ownership resorts, and RV resorts and campgrounds with resort amenities. We leave out properties we cannot confirm are operating.
Where the data comes from
- Location, ratings and sample rates: most listings use hotel data from DirectBooker, including guest rating, review count, star class and a sample nightly rate.
- Amenities, phone and websites: taken from each resort's official website and public listings.
- Distances: calculated by us as straight-line distances from the resort's map coordinates to key landmarks. Driving distances will be longer.
- Descriptions: written from the facts above. We do not copy resort marketing copy.
Listing data was last checked in October 2026.
Ratings, price levels and rates
Guest ratings are shown out of 5 with the number of reviews behind them. Lists are sorted by rating weighted by review count, so a 4.8 from 20 reviews does not automatically outrank a 4.6 from 5,000. Price levels are shown as $ (budget-friendly), $$ (mid-range) and $$$ (upscale). Where we show a sample nightly rate, it is a single rate seen when we checked — not a quote. Live prices change daily, and resort fees, parking and taxes are often extra.
How we make money
Florida Resort Finder may earn a commission when you click a "Check Rates" link and book, and may show advertising. Neither affects which resorts we list, their ratings or their order. Links to official resort websites are not paid.

Resorts change hands, rebrand, renovate and close. If you see something wrong — or you manage a resort and want to update its listing — please contact us.
